Do you know a Cupcake Addict?

Wednesday, January 23, 2008

Valentine’s Day is all about hearts – and so is this adorable baking pan I found at Williams- Sonoma.

Photobucket

It produces six large cupcakes or muffins crowned with impressive heart-shaped tops, perfect for embellishing with rich, creamy frosting and colorful decorations. It is nonstick and dishwasher safe. Look how cute they are when frosted:

Williams-Sonoma also carries Cupcake Mixes by Sprinkles, a celebrated Beverly Hills cupcake shop.

Each of these mixes bakes up to a dozen scrumptious cupcakes. Their ingredients are of the highest quality, including rich Callebaut cocoa and Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon vanilla. With each mix, you’ll receive the signature confectioners’ “dots” that make Sprinkles’ cupcakes so irresistible, along with a simple recipe for frosting.

I am Sara and I am a cupcake addict! Now....no pressure.... who's ready to start bakin? PLEASE send me a cupcake!

Boi-ing

I love makeup! I love that I have the choice to wear it and sometimes I don't. Ok...I don't wear it most of the time, but when I can and give myself the time to put on makeup I have a blast! I put in my ipod, crank up the tunes, and start with washing. Not even 5 minutes into it, I am dancing around and singing into my cleanser bottle. I only use MAC Wipes and Cetaphil Moisturizing Creme and I really only use MAC Makeup until recently when I discovered a great find! Benefit Cosmetics

As one of beauty's most spirited brands, Benefit has made a name for itself by creating high-quality products that offer solutions with a sense of humor. (No wonder their beauty mantra is "Laughter is the best cosmetic...so grin and wear it!") In addition to laugh-out-loud product names like "Touch Me Then Try to Leave"…Cream and an eyeshadow shade called "My Date's My Brother," Benefit is the beauty queen of creating easy-to-use fix-its for a flawless face. With a double dose of creativity and know-how, co-founding twin sisters Jean and Jane Ford have taken Benefit from their first San Francisco boutique to a worldwide phenomenon—laughing all the way.

The product that I love is Boi-ing Concealer.

It is FAB! An industrial strength under eye concealer that eliminates darkness and imperfections without creasing or looking heavy. This stuff really works! If I am wearing makeup, and don't have this on, I am not put together and am one HOTT Mess! I have never used anything that works better.

Roll Out!

Sunday, January 20, 2008

Roll through dinner prep with the latest from Chef’n! The new GarlicZoom from Chef’n takes the stink out of chopping garlic! Simply fill and roll. The stainless steel blades chop peeled garlic cloves into perfect chunks, ready for any meal. Your hands will be grateful and your recipes superb!

This thing is awesome! I love, love, love garlic, but I really hate choppin' it! Chef'n makes it super easy and way fun. It is also great to have for kids who want to help. Brooklynn saw me rollin' and asked if she could help and she loved it! It is so simple. Open. Fill. Roll to chop. Remove blade. Empty. That's it! Chopped, fresh garlic in a matter of seconds. Yummy!

Paper or Plastic?

As I was leaving the grocery store I noticed a little green fabric bag intended for the use of carrying your groceries out instead of paper or plastic bags. I thought " I have seen that before at Target. Not a bad idea, but how can I carry more than 2 things at a time without having to buy 10 little bags?" I then thought that if I looked around I am sure I could find a bigger bag.

With the purpose of finding baskets for a new storage system I have going at home, I came across this FAB find!

Photobucket

It is the Market Tote. this unique market tote, a longtime European favorite. Crafted of durable polyester with a lightweight aluminum frame. Features cushioned rubber handles and Velcro® closures. Folds flat for easy storage when not in use. They come in these colors and I have seen them online in cute patterns too! At Sur La Table they are $29.95 which is way too much for me, but this is the best part! I got mine at Marshalls for $5.00!!!!!!! I also found them at Ross for $9.99. You can't beat these prices!

My next trip to the grocery store when I am asked "Would you like Paper or Plastic ?" I will say, " Nah, I'm good. I got my Market Tote!" I am off saving the planet one shopping trip at a time! Good for me.

MUST HAVE Gadget!

Friday, January 18, 2008

I have just found the coolest little gadget for the kitchen! No more fussing with cutting the crusts off of sandwiches! Say hello to Good Bites™ Mini Bites. It quarters sandwiches into perfect, tot-pleasing pieces, while removing the bread crust. It even seals the edges to minimize messy oozing. Ideal for picky eaters; works with peanut butter, grilled cheese, and more. One of the best things about this nifty gadget is that it is dishwasher safe! Who would have thought that a $6.00 tool could make me so happy!
