Viva Las Vegas!

Monday, May 19, 2008

It's been a while, but just a quick post...we are moving to Sin City! That's right. Las Vegas Baby! I don't know what we will do there or where we will live, but there is always work there and the town is full of rich history. In 1993 construction workers discovered the remains of a Columbian mammoth that roamed the area during prehistoric times. Paleontologists estimate the bones to be 8,000 to 15,000 years old. Interesting? I think so!

So this valley which was discovered by a young scout named Rafael Rivera in 1829 has surpassed all the hopes and dreams that were once kept there into this booming destination for people from all around the world. More than 5,000 people move into the Las Vegas valley on a monthly basis. Thats a lot of people! I am excited (I mean a teeny bit stressed) about this new adventure! One thing is certain....I don't think I will be bored in a city full of so much action!

PF Changs Mini Desserts

Monday, April 28, 2008

PF Changs is one of my favorite restaurants. They are a unique China Bistro that blends classic Chinese design with a modern look. Each location features an original hand-painted mural depicting scenes of life in 12th century China. Replicas of the terra-cotta warriors stand guard over the dining room and many locations have the famous 11 foot tall horses out front.

The newest thing on the menu are the Mini Desserts. Choose from eight tempting flavors including Strawberry Cheesecake, Tiramasu, Lemon Dream, S'Mores, Banana Split, Carrot Cake, Apple Pie, and the mini creation of their signature Great Wall of Chocolate. The best thing is they are only $2 each! Now that your taste buds are goin crazy, hurry to PFC's for a great meal topped off with a "little" something to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Wednesday, April 16, 2008

Tonight was the series finale of Rob & Big. Christopher Boykin is the proud papa of a beautiful little girl. Congrats big daddy! He has moved out to take care of his fam, but I am sure he will stay close to his boy.

Before we get all sad and depressed, just remember that Mother's Day is just around the corner. I will be gettin myself a little of Season 1 & 2 of Rob & Big to keep on laughin, and you know I gotta remember to DO WORK!

Meaty, Rob, Big

Rob & Big is my all time FAVORITE show!

The boys are back for Rob and Big (Season 3 on MTV) and once again, the world is a candy store for our heroes as they take to the streets with greater abandon than ever.

In a mind-blowing "Guinness Book of World Records" chase, Rob and Big seek to officially rock the world with their record-smashing abilities. Rob makes an attempt to break more skateboarding world records than the Guinness judge has ever seen in one day, and Big goes after a few records of his own. The season wouldn't be complete without Rob and Big's beloved bulldog, Meaty. The guys spoil their mutt by throwing him a birthday party with paparazzi, a dog-friendly cake, puppy ice sculptures, and a red carpet. It's time to "Do Work!"

Fun Questions to Spark Conversations

Sunday, March 2, 2008

Chat Pack is a awesome little game to have in your home or in your purse! I got the little box in McCall, Id. over Christmas. The sales lady opened a box and read some of the questions. We were laughing so hard listening to each one of our answers. It is perfect for family gatherings, car trips, dinner parties, business meetings, classroom activities, or my favorite, date night!
I have picked out 4 random questions to give a few examples.

If, instead of actually writing out your name, you now had to "sign" your name with ha simple drawing of something, what would you draw each time to represent who you are?
*I would use a skull and crossbones!
What is the longest line you have ever stood in?
*Probably the new Finding Nemo ride line at disneyland.
Forget about soft sounds like babbling brooks, gentle showers, and warbling birds. What is your favorite loud noise?
*Thunder Storms!
If you had a great voice and had the opportunity to record a duet with any singer living today, whom would you choose as your partner for the recording?
*Justin Timberlake. He is sexy. We would sing a "dance/club" song and that way we could dance together too!

These questions are different and a lot of them really make you think. What a great way to get to know someone without having to be the one to come up with all the questions!

Twilight

Friday, February 22, 2008

All the ladies have been raving about the Twilight Series for what seems like forever! I finally gave in as I came to the close of Atonement. I ran next door and borrowed the book. This was not even 2 days ago. I could not put it down! I haven't done anything but read the whole time (ok I did have to take little breaks...shopping...being a mama.....sleep.) I don't want to give anything away so I won't get into it. I highly recommend this book! It just captivated me.

I wish Naomi were home now so I could start the next one.

Too DRY to BONE?

Sunday, February 17, 2008

Ah yes! I have finally found something that is of MOST use to me.
I am saying TOP PRIORITY!

Least Likely 2 Breedhas brought to all us hot mamas Mother Effer's Va-J-J Jelly! Have you ever wondered why women were targeted by the media for dryness. There are even some (very unsexy) TV commercials selling lube. Was it another made-up "problem" to make women feel inferior and buy more products? I could barely imagine what they were talking about -- until I had a baby.

Oh cruel world -- while you are pregnant your friends and relatives will tell you about their torturous (or fabulously perfect but let me tell you...45 hours of labor is NO WALK IN THE PARK PEOPLE!) births and it's after effects -- the hemorrhoids, the pain of engorgement, and how your breasts will never be the same after nursing.

But strangely enough no one ever tells you that there's a possiblity that you most likely will turn drier than the Sahara desert - until after the birth.

Feel depressed and maybe a bit squeemish about all this? Well, get over it! Now that's it's out in the open and you know you are curious...Least Likely 2 Breed also offers 3 other FAB produts!

Got a bad ass in your crib? Diaper Rash is a bummer for you and the babe; so take care of that mess with Bad Ass Booty Balm.

LOVE BITES! DEAL WITH IT{but ease the pain with Tough Titties Nipple Rub.}

STYLE YOUR PILES with "Roid Rage"
the classiest flashiest hemorrhoid creme on the planet.

Other than the best named products around is the price.....$5.99 each! Are you kiddin me? These aren't just practical, these would make some of the best gift either for baby showers or gag gifts! So go on now....get some Va-J-J Jelly!
TRUST ME! You will be thankin me later!

Cocktails! Jelly Bean Style...

Friday, February 15, 2008

Yesterday was "LOVE" day. I made this that was going to be a gift.

Cute huh? It is filled with cinnamon lips and pink jelly beans. I tried the jelly beans when I was pouring them in and was hooked! Cocoa Bon makes this upscale, urban cocktail jellybean that is blended especially for the socialite who - like the Cosmopolitan martini itself - lives large. Large flavors. Large scenes. Large parties. Large hang-overs the next morning. Blending the bold juice of cranberry with a sharp citrus tang, they've brought together disperse elements that are certain to spark witty party conversation. Other cocktail jelly bean flavors include: Bellini, Lemon Drop, and Mojito. Now....I am not a fan of Jelly Beans, but there is somethin' sneaky about these little sugar babies. Mine are all gone!

Pound Cake Heaven

Wednesday, February 13, 2008

Ladies and Gentlemen! Grab your forks and dive in, but gents, be prepared not to get one bite! This is by far the best thing I have ever eaten! It is sinful how much I am in love with the Lemon Cooler Cake from Posh Pantry

.

Posh Pantry says "One of the signature cakes, made with real lemons, fresh eggs and quality ingredients is always fresh and moist. The distinct tangy taste will captivate your taste buds and leave you asking for more." Let me tell you.....you will want more! I haven't figured out where to buy these other than Costco. They make so many different cakes, I need to try more! If I were to have a heart attack and die right in the middle of eating one of these, I wouldn't even care. In fact I am sure I would be smilling!

Romance me

Saturday, February 9, 2008

Oh yes! Valentines day is just a few days away and you have tried your hardest to figure out something Romantic to do for you and your sweetie and either nothing is working out or you just can't think of anything. When all else fails turn to Romantic moves! I am an easy kinda girl who loves nothing more than cuddling up on the couch with a fuzzy blanket and some snacks like my favorite Popcorn and Frozen Junior Mints. I have put together a list of some of my favorite Romantic movies which I think are classic.
